  • Pathways to University
  • First Choice College has an articulation agreement in place with Southern Cross University.

    What does this mean?

A successful completion of a Certificate IV or higher qualification at First Choice College qualifies you for entry into many Bachelor’s degrees. An articulation agreement is a formal agreement whereby students completing a program of study with a partner institution receive advanced standing (credit) on beginning of their study at university. It aims to enhance progression into and between Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications, through consistent and equitable recognition of formal and informal prior learning. Articulation is usually the progression of a student from one course to a course at a higher level, with some partial credit given. It is often documented through an Articulation Agreement between two institutions. This is useful for students who do not yet meet the entry criteria for the course they would like to study or have a stepping stone approach to education.

Articulation Agreements are designed to ensure consistency in agreements with both higher and vocational education providers, whether public or private. First Choice College (RTO 31707) is the approved Registered Training Organisation who has a formal articulation agreement with Southern Cross University.

I work full time and frequent travel interstate in my role. So enrolling in two Certificate IV courses with First Choice College I knew it would take dedication and commitment to complete.

Initially I thought I would never enrol in an online course as it wouldn’t deliver the level of knowledge I was seeking. However I was more than impressed by the training environment First Choice College offers.

The learning portal is so clearly laid out and easy to navigate enabling you to move between modules easily and fluently. The course content was presented well and questionnaires and summative assessments broadened your course knowledge by requiring you to research and access regulatory and industry based information.

Whilst being an online course I was impressed by the level of services provided by support staff and the efficiency of services to assist in progressing the course flow and provide guidance on processes and the portal system.

The level of guidance, assistance and direction provided by the course trainer was second to none. Booking one on one time, or calling into virtual classrooms provided opportunities to gain valuable feedback throughout every stage of the course.

Overall I found the First Choice College education experience well structured, professional and current with legislative and industry requirements. As a result I am returning to undertake the Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety knowing that I am receiving a balance of theoretical and practical experience at my own pace in an easy to use virtual environment.

I’ve just completed my dual qualification of BSB40215 Certificate IV in Business and BSB40515 Certificate IV in Business Administration. The dual certificate program was a great way to strengthen and add to my existing skills and knowledge, the assignments were interesting and challenging and very comprehensive. First Choice College were very supportive throughout the journey; the staff were compassionate and empathetic with my personal circumstances and encouraged me to continue to completion. I would like to thank all the First Choice College staff particularly Kylie in Administration with all of their assistance and to Senada who gave continuously encouraging feedback which helped provide me with the motivation to cross the finish line and was very much appreciated. I highly recommend First Choice College for their online learning experience and their investment in their students.

Casahn Hankinson

I recently completed a dual qualification Certificate 4 in Business and Business Administration with First Choice College. Having studied via long distance learning previously, I am in the position to recognise the challenges and compare my experiences. From the get go, communication with First Choice College was direct and easy, so I felt confidence in the educator I had chosen. I found that additional support from my trainer, Jacob Shaw, was only an email away. As a busy mum, this efficient communication paired with flexibility was priceless. The cost of the course was excellent and the course material was thorough, allowing me to gain a strong understanding of the skills and knowledge I was seeking. I operated a business prior to this course, and can guarantee there were skills within the coursework that reinforced my current abilities and others that were new and highly beneficial. I would choose to study with First Choice College in the future and highly recommend them to other prospective students.

From the time I first began to search for an RTO to endure further study and sought for information from First Choice College, I was impressed by not only the course fee which was on sale, but by the efficiency with Kylie in administration. From both phone calls and emails returned within the hour to her friendliness, I was excited to engage in study from day one.

When it came to completing the modules, trainer and assessor Barb couldn’t be more supportive and knowledgeable, adapting the learning material and providing ongoing guidance in order to develop an understanding for the requirements of the unit.

There truly was zero fault in all area of operations that I had to associate with. Thank you First Choice College, you went above and beyond and I know that whenever I review my resume or reflect upon my experience with your entire organisation, I will always have a very positive and grateful outlook!

Nicholas Amoroso

I have just completed my dual diploma of Business and Leadership and Management with First Choice College and found it to be presented well and educational. I would like to thank Kylie Yeo for her help and support throughout the year, very professional and prompt to respond. Thank you Kylie and I definitely recommend this training to anyone.

Keith Page

I recently completed the Diploma of Project Management through First Choice College and was very pleased overall with the experience. The course content was well presented, and the assignments were both interesting and challenging. Being able to work at your own pace was a definite bonus as I was able to fit my studies in to suit my schedule.

I found the college to be most helpful throughout the course and they were particularly accommodating when I needed to take time out for medical reasons. Fortunately, I did not need to use the extension that was granted.

Finally, I would like to personally thank Kylie Yeo for all her assistance throughout the course. Right from day one until now Kylie has always been extremely helpful and efficient.

If you are looking for a flexible way to achieve your BSB51415 diploma online, I would not hesitate to recommend First Choice College.

I enrolled in the First Choice College without prior knowledge of who I will encounter throughout my 12 months, but as soon as my enrolment was completed, everything was right on spot. The team at First Choice College were amazing and incredibly helpful. I joined First Choice College mainly to advance my knowledge in Work Health and Safety. The course was excellent and fantastic. I really enjoyed working with everyone, from receptionists, administrators and course instructors whom I have interacted with during my time at First Choice College. I would recommend anyone investing your time in doing this course as you will have much needed support to make it through your studies. You are all legends and thank you all for helping me to complete my Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

Just wanted to provide some feedback on my experience, while completing my Project Management Diploma with First Choice College.

It has been a truly enjoyable experience. The support I received from the trainer and the administration team was amazing through the entire process. The supporting material and assessment layout was also great and easy to navigate.

The team was also very flexible with regards to my availability due to both working hours / rosters and the time difference of 2 hours being in Western Australia.

I cannot thank the FCC team enough for the support and guidance provided throughout the course and will be recommending FCC to my colleagues and friends.

Hi Barb!!

Am super excited to have finished this course!! But just wanted to thank you again for your help and encouraging words whilst marking my work!

As I said before, it has made the world of difference to my study!

First Choice College is the one stop learning shop for any and everyone.

I am heavily dyslexic but I knew I had a passion and wanted to learn it... I applied for the WHS certificate 4.

I remember the butterflies in my tummy getting my first modules. Feeling a little unsure and overwhelmed from my school years of falling behind my class and struggling to understand and keep up.  I finally thought just pick up the phone and ask questions.

What I was greated with was amazing kind staff at the ready to help and teach. The warmest understanding team of professionals with the best positive attitude you can have. My confidence was so strong after talking with my trainers I was able to have a new understanding on education.

Like a seed my mind had the perfect condition to grow stronger, warmth, kindness and compassion and now have confidence in my own style. To know that it's ok to think differently and be supported through any learning style is amazing.

For every person who knows they want to learn but feel overwhelmed by the any learning difficulties... First Choice College can help you achieve your maximum potential with easy and professional development learning skill set being talked. The training I received ment I needed some one on one time with my trainers on the phone, again slam dunk. If I left a message with my trainers it was a quick response. My work was always marked quickly and any resubmitted work was explained to me. The portal is great for a confidence booster letting you know how much you have progressed.

So give it a go. You owe yourself a amazing confidence booster experience in first class education with First Choice College.

Thankyou to everyone.

Kind regards as always,

Linda Maher

First Choice offers an affordable and excellent way to achieve the certificates needed in either running your own business or obtaining employment. The delivery method is excellent, with each unit available online and once completed, you simply hit the ‘submit’ button. The assessors then mark your work and message you back with comments, any questions that needs to be reviewed, etc. As you are nearing completion of a unit, the next one is released to you so you never have to wait around for marking – you can move straight into the next unit. I found the course material challenging at times, but in a good way. Some material was familiar to me; some was not, so there was a great balance of the familiar and the new. I loved how each question in the units were completed online and you could easily see how far you were into the unit – as it showed 40% complete, 60%, etc. I learned a great deal from the course(s) and found the admin staff and the assessors to be friendly, approachable, and available when I needed to ask questions.

Hi Kylie and Happy New Year 😊

You have been fantastic in supporting and facilitating the process in gaining my Qualifications from Initial enquiry, enrolment through to providing required RPL Kit.

Nothing was too much trouble, you have a very positive, upbeat and engaging persona and your response times on any queries or requests I had where exceptional. I have utilised many Online Programs and Companies in the past and can confidently say that the Admin Services you provided are second to none.

You are a great ambassador especially in creating a positive first impression,  and as a result I would not hesitate to recommend First Choice to others.

I wish you all the best in the future,

I am currently completing the Certificate IV Work Health and Safety course with First Choice College and I am about 80% through this course.

I am impressed by the very high quality of the course resource materials provided by First Choice. They are thorough and complete and very easy to navigate your way through the subject matter.

The assessors and staff are very friendly and are clearly highly industry experienced and very willing to help participants work through any questions or problems.

I can highly recommend this RTO to anyone wishing to obtain or upgrade their industry qualifications and genuinely learn valuable information while doing that.

I applied to First Choice College to gain further knowledge and skills in the workforce, and to strengthen my resume with a Diploma of Project Management. As a busy, single working mother with 2 children, the college provided me with the flexibility and support I needed in order to complete the course in alignment with my busy lifestyle. Trainers were incredibly supportive and the course content was structured in a way that was easy to understand and get through. Will definitely be looking to this college if I need to undertake any further courses in the future.

Enrolling has never been so easy, you immediately gain the support needed if necessary and the team is always there to help with any queries you may have along the way. The team also provides great motivation and enthusiasm. I have already gained so much knowledge from the certificate III in business and administration and look forward to completing it.

Can I just say how incredible you guys are to deal with.  Anytime I have had a question or issue about anything, no matter who I speak to is always so helpful and prompt in their responses.

Everyone should know that they are doing a great job.

Throughout the last 12 months Jacob Shaw has provided me with not only valuable assistance but some much appreciated encouragement. My completion of BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety can be greatly accredited to the ongoing support I have received from Jacob and the First Choice team. Jacob has always addressed my enquiries in a professional yet personal manner, whether it be by email or over the phone. I would not hesitate in recommending First Choice to anyone who is seeking to upskill themselves.

Thank you so much for making my day, my week, my month and my year!! I was getting a little concerned that I would run out of time to complete 3 units in a month if I was not successful with my RPL. I am one very relieved and thankful student. Thank you.

First Choice has given me more than I had expected from an online course. I have learnt so much and enjoyed completing every unit as it provides necessary and relevant information that I need in a Business Administration environment. My trainer Jacob has been a fantastic help throughout the course and easily available to answer any queries.

I am really pleased and satisfied with the support & knowledge I have received from First Choice. I would like to say that the reading material was very detailed and the questions and projects were very informative and I have learnt a lot. The trainers have been amazing and supportive. I am pleased with the guidance I have received from the trainers.

I would highly recommend First Choice to anyone :)

Thanks heaps once again!!!!!!

Having chosen to pursue RPL my Diploma in Management through First Choice was by far the best choice. The team were extremely professional, efficient and meticulous throughout the whole experience. I thoroughly recommend this RTO to anyone wishing to commence training or RPL previous study!
